Abduction and Killing of Mr Temjoh Alfred by bulu militias in Bambalang.

April 28, 2025, Bambalang, Ngo- Ketunjia State Northern Ambazonia: Cameroon Occupation Forces carried out a targeted operation in Bambalang, Ngoketunjia State, Northern Ambazonia, resulting in the abduction and killing of Mr. Temjoh Alfred. Eyewitnesses report that Mr. Alfred, a well-known local civilian and community member, was forcefully taken from his home by armed Cameroon Occupation Forces without any judicial order or prior warning.

Violation of International Humanitarian Laws

The unlawful killing of Mr. Temjoh Alfred constitutes a grave breach of International Laws, specifically the Geneva Conventions, which prohibit the murder of civilians during armed conflicts. Under International Humanitarian Laws, occupying forces are obligated to protect civilian populations and must refrain from extrajudicial executions. The deliberate targeting and killing of a non-combatant violate these principles and may be classified as a war crime under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

Breach of Human Rights in Occupied Ambazonia

This act is also a clear violation of fundamental human rights, including the right to life, freedom from arbitrary detention, and due process. Cameroon Occupation Forces’ actions undermine the international norms that guarantee the protection of civilians under occupation. The killing of Mr. Alfred without trial or investigation reflects a systematic disregard for human rights within Ambazonia.

War Crime and the Need for Accountability

The abduction and execution of Mr. Alfred represent more than a singular tragedy; they are part of a broader pattern of violence reportedly committed by Cameroon Occupation Forces in Ambazonia. When state forces execute civilians without legal process, it amounts to a war crime. International observers and human rights organizations are urged to investigate and hold those responsible accountable under International Laws.

Call for International Response
This incident further intensifies calls from Ambazonian civil society and international human rights advocates for urgent intervention. The international community must act to ensure that Cameroon Occupation Forces are held responsible for their actions and that the rights of the Amazonia people are respected and protected under binding International Laws.
